What Would Jim Do

February 27 2013

Ema Tavola is a writer, curator and self described art-hustler based in South Auckland.

She recently shared this video, directed by artist Tanu Gago, that documents the 2012 exhibition at Fresh Gallery, WWJD. It's particularly worthwhile watching to hear Jim Vivieaere discuss his approach as an artist-curator, and I love the footage of the kids giggling and dancing along to Rebecca Ann Hobbs's work Otara at Night (2011).

If you're looking for ways to spend your time online, Ema is always worth following on PIMPI, an online repository of links, information and documentation of work from artists working within the Pacific diaspora.
