An installation using interactive sound based objects, Interference presented the challenge inherent in sharing information.
Constructed using the physicality of the tin can as a starting point, these devices express states of breakdown in communication systems. As rustic handmade D.I.Y. constructions, the objects sat purposefully at odds within a gallery context, acting as a pointer to the repetitive and frustrating nature of communication.
Part of the Free/Work series, (March – July 2003).
