About the artist
Born in Turanganui a Kiwa, George Watson currently lives in Tamaki Makaurau. She is interested in the expanded realms of contemporary art, theory, speculative fiction and poetry and the roles that these disciplines might take in collectively imagining and shaping ways of being in the world. Recent projects include: Collective Fruits in ‘Wormhole’, Melbourne (2016); Autumn of Spit, Canapé Canopy, Auckland (2016); Decorative Orchards & Mostly I Harvest Each Green Fruit with Regret, Window, Auckland (2016); The World Continues to Infect, St Paul Street Gallery, Auckland (2016); Pack Lite organised by Stella Corkery, New York, L.A. and Auckland (2017).
