For CubaDupa Festival Saturday 28-Sunday 29 March 12pm-4pm we have partnered with the Chartwell Trust's Squiggla programme to support a Squiggla Making Space in Left Bank.

Please join Squiggla x Curators of Cuba! A free gallery walking tour with a difference. Join Mark Amery at CubaDupa 12noon Saturday March 28 and Sunday March 29. Meeting at Enjoy. email play@squiggla.org to book a place ASAP.

Visit shows, meet curators and do some Squiggla mark-making in response. On Saturday we visit work by Laurence Aberhart and John Johns at Mcleavey Gallery, Shona Rapira Davies at Bowen Galleries, Levi Hawken at Webbs and Judy Millar at Robert Heald Gallery. Then on Sunday we visit work by Ed Bats at Peg Gallery, Mitchell Manuel at Toi Poneke, Aria Hinewai and Roger Walker at Thistle Hall.

On both Saturday and Sunday Squiggla has a making space in Left Bank, from 12pm-4pm. We’ll be having a whole pile with our great crew of fun free markmaking with you and special guest artist Latamai Katoa, whose show What happens if it’s broken? is in the gallery. Come explore markmaking as a performance with memory and the home.

Squiggla is a hands-on creative visual thinking programme that has been developed by the Chartwell Trust. It’s appeared at art fairs and galleries and other creative spaces but is only this month making its Pōneke debut.
