The Now Romantics Manifesto

The Preface

(i) The Now Romantic Ideal can be Anything:  it is purely personal, not universal, it is elitist to the self; but one may adhere to an aesthetic form of narcissism w/in a secluded and pre-eminent group; one may embrace the ego whilst never resorting to egotism.

ALL HAIL THE NOW ROMANTICS!

(ii) To createthe perfect balance between Cynicism and the The Ideal:  the awareness and recognition of the pre-determined obliteration of each + every Ideal, but the ultimate capacity to exhaust the self in the build-up, creation and embodiment of the chosen Ideal; to scale the skyscraper w/the willingness to Fail from the highest + most unattainable precipice in order to enable the self to fly toward a/nother + higher Ideal

ALL HAIL THE NOW ROMANTICS!

(iii) To desire the seemingly Unattainable most profusely and to see it’s value clearly:  to gain clarity through exerience and disorder; the realization of how futile it is to pursue the Ideal for the only certainty is chaos; to acknowledge that the Ideal can not exist but to (desire) and pursue it intensely and ceaselessly.
